po kapkách // drop by drop

tahle je z konce roku 2015, stvořena (alespoň její podstatná část) v jedné vinárně na Karlíně.. jedna z mála básní, kdy se mi anglický překlad líbí více, než originál.. a vyvrácení Quineovy teorie nepřeložitelnosti na základě teorému, že autor originálu je zároveň autorem překladu .. pak je vše v pořádku .. letmo inspirováno teorií "efektivního altruismu" propagovanou filosofem Peterem Singerem, jehož přednášku na toto téma jsem měla živě možnost shlédnout při jeho návštěvě v Olomouci.. ale o něm pohovořím jindy a jinde ..

this one is from end of 2015, created (at least it´s major part) in a winehouse in Karlín, Prague .. one of a few poems where i do like the English translation more than the original .. and a disproof of Quine´s theory of untranslatability based on a theorem that the author of the original is at the same time the author of the translation .. everything is in order then .. slightly inspired by a theory of "effective altruism" propagated by a philosopher Peter Singer whose lecture on this subject i have an opportunity to see live during his visit in Olomouc .. but about him i will sure talk another day, and elsewhere ..

po kapkách

prokazujíce tím

službu lidstvu

oproštěním jej

od tvé přítomnosti

v tomto světě

a zároveň

prokazujíce tím službu mně

že už tě nebudu

muset vídat

ale to chci asi moc

stačí mi málo

včera jsem viděla

pána v metru

ráno seděl

v obleku a kabátu

a četl Na cestě

to mě zaplavilo

nenadálým štěstím

sice jen

pro ten oka mžik

ale od té doby

si nemohu vzpomenout

kdy jsem naposledy

plakala

kalamitou není entropie

pijeme věčnost

po kapkách

kachnička ve vaně

němě civí

ale v tomto momentě

má větší smysl

než cokoli jiného

kalamitou není ani nihilismus

musíme dobře rozkousat

tvrdá sousta

syrové smrti

a pak tepřiv pochopíme

že smrt je lidstvu

prospěšná

tedy v zájmu veřejného zdraví

v návaznosti na trend

syrové (raw) stravy

pojďme pít

kyanid

po kapkách

namísto věčnosti

anebo napijme se

rovnou z vany

prokažme službu lidstvu

službu velikosti maxi

čili

entropy is not a calamity

we drink eternity

a bathtube duck
stares numbly
but at this moment
it makes more sense
than anything else

nihilism is not a calamity either
we have to chew well
tough pieces
of raw death
and only then we realize
that death
is good for people

so in the name
of public health
within the continuity
of a trend
of raw nutrition
let´s drink
cyanide

drop by drop

instead of eternity
or better
let´s drink it
right from the bathtube
let´s make a service
to the humankind
a super size service
in other words
effective altruism in practice
